The Birds of Paradise

Some weddings are more than just events—they’re an experience, a performance, and a masterclass in style. Anna and Patrick’s wedding was exactly that, a dazzling celebration that blended modern fashion, international flair, and artistic excitement.

Anna, a bride with an eye for detail and a career in a global fashion magazine, ensured their wedding was nothing short of extraordinary. Every element spoke to her impeccable taste and the couple’s shared vision of sophistication. Patrick, a producer with a knack for drama and flair, played his part perfectly, becoming the only groom I’ve ever seen rock three outfit changes in a single day!

The day began in Vienna’s iconic first district with a beautiful ceremony. As Anna appeared in her bespoke wedding gown by designer Katharina Reuschel, she literally stopped the city in its tracks. The gown, a work of art requiring two people to manage throughout the day, left the onlookers outside the venue in awe. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests made their way to a nearby Italian restaurant for a relaxed reception drink and delicious pizza bites. Walking through the bustling streets of Vienna with Anna’s breathtaking gown and a lively wedding party was a spectacle worthy of a red carpet.

After Anna’s first outfit change, we headed to the Burggarten for a series of intimate couple portraits. The lush greenery and historic charm of the gardens provided the perfect setting to capture their love amidst the elegance of the day.

As the evening unfolded, guests arrived at Palais Niederösterreich, an Opera-themed venue that set the tone for a night of enchantment. A blue carpet welcomed everyone into a magical world of speciality cocktails and a live opera performance of The Magic Flute, which seamlessly guided the guests into the dinner venue. Styled like a tropical garden, the dining area was a visual feast, complete with dancers who added a touch of theatricality to the entrance.

The night was packed with performances, laughter, and celebrations, capped off by a vibrant party with a unique twist—a dedicated taco room, paying homage to Patrick’s Mexican roots. Every detail of the day, meticulously planned by Susanne Hummel and her talented team, added to the grandeur and excitement of this unforgettable celebration.
